Why it’s good time to advertise your Business on Facebook

You are a business owner or a marketer; there are tons of things to do starting from email marketing, social media marketing, blogging, SEO, sales branding, etc.

Coming to Social Media Marketing, there is again too many platforms for marketing which can be confusing to choose.

It’s critical to understand that you can not conquer all the social media platforms, and you have to compromise on others to achieve something on one platform.

The real confusion comes in when you have to decide which platform to choose over other. Because you would never want to leave any social media platform to establish your brand, its true but you have start from one.

We all know there is one force dominating the modern day marketing which is Social Media and above that there is one platform which rules among all: Facebook Ads.

I have been into the Digital Marketing Space from past many years and found Small business is always apprehensive about spending marketing budget than exhausting it and Facebook the only platform to bring good ROI among all.

So if you are planning to advertise your business online, you can not afford to forget Facebook should be the No1 priority.

Facebook has 1.6Billion active users in the world spreads from high tech cities to small towns. No matter what business you are in and what type of audience you are looking. Facebook has everything for you to advertise.

Facebook ads are getting more real, valuable and practical to bring good results. These ads will not only get you real likes and penetration for your brand but also helps you generate leads for business so that you can do real conversions.

I am not sharing one but four reasons why you should advertise your business on Facebook.

#1 You Find your audience

As I have shared above, Facebook has 1.6 billion users who are larger than a population of China. Yes! You can find your audience here on Facebook no matter what you are selling.

As Facebook has such a huge audience, you can probably find the suitable by targeting option. In this, you can direct your ads towards a particular audience.

It is little difficult to reach people in standard working hours but with Facebook advertisements you can reach people anytime without any constraint of working hours.

#2 Economic & Cost Effective

Facebook ads are one of the cheapest online channels to advertise online, and you will be easily able to accommodate it to your budget.

As I have been doing the paid ads since long, my understanding says if you create a targeted ads using right keyword and an audience you can boost your conversion rate up to 50%. You can set your per ad budget as low as 1$ to test it and go with one which gets good results.

Before targeting on bids, you have to categories on the objective of the campaign it could be awareness, consideration or conversion. Each segment has different option check the screen shot below for all those options:


You can advertise on Facebook with four types of the various bids by your objective.

CPA – Cost Per Action

CPA considered as one of the best advertisement methods on Facebook because in this you only pay when Facebook user perform some action. For example, you will be charged only when the user likes your page.

CPC – Cost Per Click

CPA is my second favorite method to advertise on Facebook; I use it when I want to bring traffic to my websites. Here you bid facebook ads per click, gets user actively click on ads and visit your website.

CPM – Cost Per Mille

Here the bid goes for per 1000 impression of your ads, and this helps increase your brand value. It potentially helps you increase brand engagement for your business. It is good campaign option if you have a high budget and want to target a large amount of audience.

#3 Target your Audience

Targeting the right audience for your ads is the key to getting maximum results out of your ads and When you count on targeting your audience nothing works best than Facebook ads.

Facebook adverts allow you to segment your audience based on their Geographical Location, Gender, Age, Education Level, Job Title and Interest. The variety of target option available makes me so optimized to use it.

For Example:

You have girls fashion store: here you have first to decide the target location where you will choose women from age 18 to 40 and interests as shopping etc. because women in this age group and interest have more potential to buy.

#4 Calculate Return on Investment

The biggest challenge of the media industry was that it’s damn difficult to calculate exact ROI for a time, energy and money you have invested. Facebook has overcome it very powerfully by providing reliable reporting where we can calculate the return coming from each penny spent.

You can calculate the ads perform on different metrics like:

  • No of people clicks on your ads and the amount spent on them to calculate a cost per click.
  • Which segment of individuals have shown more interest in your ads and got more conversion.

    I am running Fb Ads for Travel Agency from Delhi. Who’s target audience is in USA, UK.

    What sort of FB Advertising option would be best?

    1) Boosting a Post
    2) Creating Ad with Specific Demographics & Targeting them
    3) Creating Custom Audience & Targeting them
    or any other suggestions.

      Hi Vineet,

      I am must say you have a very real and specific question.

      All three variants of Ads will be used for a particular purpose, and for your campaign I will suggest:

      If you run a generic Ads without deciding the target audience, no doubt you will get less Click Through Rate (CTR) with money spent. On the other hand, if you have targetted audience you will get higher CTR with more conversion power.

      1. Boosting a post will get you like, engagement but very less CTR. This is good for branding purpose.
      2. Yes! You should target your ad geographically, and capture small areas in geographic and test multiple ads. Like, run ads to a particular state in the US and under that create multiple ads.
      3. Custom Audience by uploading the data works perfectly for me always. It comes out to be the most expensive ads, but the conversion is impressive.

      I work more on to conversion side than getting like, etc. Because Likes will never get us money only, conversion will.

    Hello Danish,

    It’s unquestionably true that Facebook ads have more benefit for some businesses and industries than others, but in terms of good exposure and targeted leads, I think it can add value to any business to some extent.

    I think targeting is key though and requires a good knowledge of the business target audience and their demographics.

    And as you say, it is such a cheap advertising platform when compared to similar alternatives so at the very least it’s worth running some tests to find out what works.
